2024 Billy Button “Dulci” Manseng

The Manseng family of grape varieties hails from south west France. It makes delicious aromatic wine, high in natural acidity. 

Gros Manseng is known for producing powerful and intensely flavoured wine. Think high acid, abundant flavours of apricot and quince and attractive spice and floral notes.

Say 'mahn-seng' or 'gro mahn-seng'

Production Notes

Once pressed the juice was settled, racked and inoculated with selected yeast. Ferment was low and slow with temperatures maintained at between 13 and 15 degrees. Ferment was arrested to maintain desired amount of natural sweetness. Clarified and bottled June 2024.

Tasting Notes

For those that like a bit of sweetness in their life, Dulci is an off dry style of Manseng that has great depth of flavour. The natural sweetness is balanced by vibrant and crisp acidity.
