Reviews

"This was matured in old, neutral puncheons and has taken on some grip, texture and softness as a result. In any case it’s a wine with ample flavour and the mouthfeel to go with it. It smells and tastes of white pepper, aromatic herbs, apple, nectarine and preserved citrus. The slatey, stone-like quality of the finish is of particular note; it gives the wine both emphasis and a nod to savouriness. There’s also a tautness to this wine. It’s terrific." 95 points. Campbell Mattinson 25 September 2025

"Single vineyard, fermented in seasoned puncheon, matured on lees for nine months. It's the spice that so entices. Apple blossom, green herbs, almond and rocket rise, seamlessly entwined with nashi pear, apple and citrus. Grüner at its most elegant, with a light nutty savouriness and fine creaminess across the palate. The maker instils a complexity here that will work well with further ageing."
